Click on the Semester links to access the directory structure. The data presented has not been reviewed or processed in any way, but are raw images of the recovered data.
The 2000B to 2013B data was restored from the backup tapes. You will see directories such as 2000B/data/20001113/. The dates, in YYYYMMDD format, are when the backups were performed on the storage volume used to save observing data. There could be duplicate copies, and non-observer data or files included on in each backup image.
The 2014B to 2016A semesters date are more organized. Directory names refer to the instrument, and program IDs were also beginning to be used. However observers were free to change the directory name if they wished. The data is presented as they were created while observing.
The IRTF web site host past observing schedules and awarded time which can help when searching for data.
